My concept is a Chilled Love Zone. :)

I would have a big dark tent, dimly lit with say fairy lights and maybe a small mirror ball. It would be cozy warm and dry. There would be lots of alcoves with comfortable seats/sofas. 50% of the floor space would be a dance floor.

Most of the time there would be chillout music playing but every hour for 10-15 minutes there would be nothing but slow 'smoochy' music ( e.g.Barry White ) where you could dance real close to your partner (or new friend :) )

Single women, if they were so inclined, could choose a 'smoochy' dance partner from the single guys/girls (but not the other way round).

There would be large men in monkey suits keeping numbers of people at a set maximum and ejecting anyone spoiling the chilled mood. ;)

It would be relaxed, fun and very simple to do. I think plenty of people would like the opportunity for a slow dance and a snog (maybe) in a nice relaxed atmosphere ( or is it just me :) ).

'Long live Lurve' is what I would call it.

What do you reckon Mr. & Ms. Eavis ?

I had a dream the other day that Eavis gave me 20k to organise my own area of the festival, in the same vein Emily Eavis does with The Park.

So what would you all do if given the chance?

My area would be completely mindblowingly fun. I'd try to give it a carnival type atmosphere with all sorts of shiz going on at once. I'd probably have one of those lorry-come-stages where the bands play inside the lorries. I'd also have a small section with traditional funfair rides for children. I'd also have a 50s style diner themed tent with an old fashioned huge jukebox. Theyd serve smoothies 24/7 (perfect for hangovers :)). I would try to have little quirky things dotted about like random objects, modern art and funky seats. Oh and a hall of mirrors for the lulz! It would be the perfect family field... in fact the perfect field! Music, places to eat, fairground attractions for the kids, hall of mirrors (lol for all) and just general happiness going on. There would also be a small campsite nearby for those who adore my field the most. ME please make this happen :)

ANYWAY, what would you all have in your field?

Can't remember the year but 'Beach' area has been done

....... interesting ideas so far but being old I would like to see a return of Lost Vagueness ...with even more edge than before

...pretty much as described in the opening post !!!

..Other wise I would hire a lawyer ( I know 20K is only a few hours ) to try and persuade Mendip DC to allow legitimate live music on Wednesday and Thursday evenings

.... and then bring in the best Tribute Bands
