I think most feel Arctic Monkey's and KOL are certain, it's just that final one that people are questioning. Well that's how I personally see it.

word I'm now getting is that AMs and KoL are indeed now signed and sealed.

.... and word I'm getting is that Radiohead are back in as the third headliner. However, I'm worried that what I'm being told is old info that's only just filtered thru to that person, from when they were in the frame previously. But alongside that is the fact that this contact has never before given me a bum steer; so it's very possibly right.

If you're booking 2manydjs, The Cure and Beastie Boys as other stage headliners over the three days, you'd get my vote as festival organiser.

If the headliners are as Neil thinks, would people say that they're spending money throughout the bill, as opposed to mostly on headliners? Which would mean an arguably weaker set of headliners, with strength throughout?

I'm going to Download and Sonisphere as well as Reading. Unfortunately these other 2 could spell the end of decent rock bands at Reading. Since I've been going, there has always been at least 1 main stage headliner I have got excited about:

Manic Street Preachers (2001)

Guns N Roses and Foo Fighters (2002)

Metallica and Linkin Park (2003)

Green Day (2004)

Iron Maiden and Foo Fighters (2005)

Pearl Jam and Muse (2006)

Smashing Pumpkins and RHCP (2007 - although both were not as good as Nine Inch Nails)

RATM and Metallica (2008)

I would be gutted if there wasn't at least 1 massive band I could look forward to. Obviously there will be some bands I want to see, but I'm scared that Radiohead will have some influence on the bands playing on the same day as them.
