i think that was 2003.

the reason i remember is that it was one of the very few days that once i got to it, i actually just stayed at the pyramid all day.

jimmy cliff, polyphonic spree, turin brakes, supergrass, flaming lips, radiohead.

I played the first 4 tracks from the optimist over and over again near continuously in a loop for about a year. Nothing they released before or after even came close but I'd certainly go see them just for those 4 songs. I AM THE FUTURE BOY.

it wasnt to start with, if you remember correctly youll recollect that it rained and was quite cloudy in the morning.

it even rained a little at the start of jimmy cliff's set.

but that Glasto Magic is never far away, and i remember him starting 'i can see clearly now' and it stopped raining.

by the time he got to 'harder they come' the clouds had all but dissapeared and it was up around 75 degrees.

they should have jimmy there every year, every time it looks like rain just wheel him out

Yeah, The Breaks are awesome. I first heard them back in the day when Steve Merchant and Rikcy Gervais used to have their show on XFM.

Ooh are they playing? Great stuff. Like them a lot. Couldn't get on with the 3rd album, but absolutely love all their other stuff, and have seen them live.

Saw them at Shepherds Bush Empire in March - loved them. Will definitely try to be there although they are part of my nightmare clash on Fri late afternoon / early evening so I may have to bump them on favour of someone I have not yet seen.......
