Spent most of the holidays watching films.. two covers that have stood out are Karen O's Immigrant Song from Girl with the dragon tatoo

and Where Is My Mind? Yoav ft. Emily Browning from sucker punch:

And their version of Unchained Melody still has to stand as the best - even though it was a cover. I think it's been one of the most recorded of songs with versions from Jimmy Young (remember him?), Presley, Robson and Jerome and even The Goons.

I don't think William Shatner killed Pulp's song though. It's just different than the original but in a nice way (as opposed to the above). It even has Joe Jackson on it singing rather powerfully in my opinion (if you listen to it on something decent). I can only imagine that Pulp were involved in the project but could be wrong.
