I saw ' a ' but I should have watched ' b '

How often at Glasto have you seen somebody only to wish based on other reports that you had watched someone else instead. For me my most memorable case was Air vs Rod Stewart.

I (and my son) had thouroughly enjoyed Roger Waters - one of the best sets I've seen, ever, period - and had to decide whether to stay put or move around to the Other Stage to see Air.

My reasoning went 'I'll never buy a ticket to see Rod Stewart in concert, but I will Air, therefore this is my one and only chance to see Rod', so we stayed put (my son agreed with my logic).

Rod was, at best, mediocre, but by all accounts Air gave one of the sets of the weekend.

And I've still never got to see Air in concert.

Bummer.

i left halfway through bjork's set in 07 cos my mate wanted to see arctic monkeys and i'm clearly too accommodating. ;) i have no idea if they were even any good or not as we couldn't actually hear bugger all from the back. i'll always regret not seeing bjork do 'earth intruders'. we did hear it from the pyramid field though!

none, zero, zilch.

yeah ive caught some ropey performances but the festy memories wouldnt be the same without them.

besides which, the good far, far out way the bad.

by taking gambles on your clashes you get rewarded with some truly horrendous gigs, but on the other hand there have been many a classic as well.

no guts, NO GLORY!! ;)

I wish I'd have seen the chemical brothers instead of the who in 07. The who weren't bad, but from what I heard from my mates and the footage I saw, The Chems were absolutely mesmerising.

The same year, my mates turned up at the other stage eagerly expecting the manics only to realise that they'd turned up for mika instead, while the manics were on the pyramid.

"big girls you are beautiful" instead of "under neon loneliness, motorcycle emptiness"

1997 - Kula Shaker instead of Radiohead.

Much as I enjoyed Kula Shaker's set at the time, Radiohead's set is still said to have been one of the best ever at Glastonbury, and anyway Kula Shaker ended up repeating their set the following afternoon when some other act didn't show up.
