Jens Wildman
Can't listen at work. However Bill Adama appears to be on the drums in the last one. Edited February 24, 2009 by Jens Wildman

sifi
It's odd isn't it how the blind adulation of some puts others off. Neil of e-festivals said that some of the Springsteen fans here seem like Oasis fans, such is their devotion. I'd go further than that - some of them remind me of god-botherers. Like an unwanted Jeovah Witness, they tak about Thunder Road and 1975-1985 and won't accept that you have another God, or indeed don't have a God at all, and they just go on about it at the expense of everything else. And as the cap so clearly fits I propose a new markation be placed upon these individuals - Bruce Botherers! You know who you are ..... ferraristu
I wasn't really impressed after listening to his greatest hits recently having never seen the point of him before. However the crazy almost religious pedastal he's placed on by many in this thread and the utter disbelief that anyone can even question his majesty makes me more determined to hate him. I shall be elsewhere methinks.

sifi
And lo it came to pass that on the second day of Glastonbury festival, Sir Bruce of Springsteen did address the mindless - well, a lot of people are out of their minds by then - hoardes and did play unto them until the converted were preached to. Jens Wildman
I agree with this. I quite like him and will probably go and see him but people here go WAY over the top. "Start with the first album, theres a hungry young dude singing there. Then follow the albums from there, and each album will make more sense to you. It`s quite a uniq journey, and a very powerfull story all album`s togheter." Jesus wept! I think some of these people need to take a break from Bruce and realise there is a plethora of other music out there too! Bruce Springsteen is not ALL music. Jens Wildman
More probably. I'm what you might call a Bob Botherer. As such I look down on Bruce Botherers as "Johnny come latelies" ....
sifi
Well... Elvis is the king, Bruce is the Boss, Blue Eyes is the chairman and Bob is the muse, Bob is always the muse..
rostalof
or M K could just be a perfectionist and bruce a bit more laid back/sloppy. as for the hendrix quote, i don't know, i'v personnaly never seen him play with his teeth either??? rostalof
that's what Knopfler was (incorrectly) trying to say. Hendrix quite plainly did play with his teeth.. (impossible for mere mortals, maybe) not sure I know of anyone else who's tried

daveinafield
no its not. its a moment like that for his fans. i know his music inside out through being tortured by my family and friends for over 20 years. i personally would rather chew my own arm off than be there for the overblown bombast that its bound to be. however, for those that love him, and there are many, i hope it is a great moment for you all, but please dont go stating that for those of us that he's never clicked with should be there for the 'moment' alone. for us, we would be missing great festival moments of our own simply to go with the crowd and i'd rather cut my own path.
