Budweiser
i think the point is that theres no need for overblown theatrics on the drums when jacks doin his stuff, it could get very complicated indeed
sifi
But i suppose the best of drummer dont show off. Jon Bonham, Dave grohl ect.
Budweiser
John Bonham was a terrible show-off, as anyone who has seen his twenty minutes drum solo sets can testify. Playing with his hands, having his own signature tune (Moby Dick) - he was outrageous! And rightly so.
sifi
That's one of the greatest drums solos of all time
dannypal
'greatest drumming solos of all time' is like saying 'the greatest hangover of all time' its something that should never happen lol
sifi
I once fell asleep during a drum solo at a Black Sabbath gig at the Hammersmith Odeon.
popcornmaster
I'd hate you all so much if this happens, considering we're getting papped with pish like Keane, The Killers and Snow Patrol on Saturday and Sunday, only thing we're looking forward to at T is Friday night, and most people can't even get in that day
The Nal
I went to the bar during Bonzo's at Earl's Court...
dannypal
if the stripes were on at the same time as franz and the boss, im sure that they would still get a huge crowd, they have some of the most rememerable songs released in the past few years and they have a huge fan base

Block
I really hope this rumour is true! My only concern now is that they will be on the Other stage on Sunday night and clash with Blur...

Haydn
Wasn't she 'acutally' in a sex video, and thats why she pulled from the tours and stuff? Thats the rumour I heard, so I searched out the video, and it didn't half look like her. In which case, its the WOBBLY BITS she needs to control She's hot though. ralph250
Supposedly it wasn't her, according to her press manager (or someone like that anyways)... http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/news...y-not-meg-white ...I'd guess it might have been part of the cause for her anxiety tho. She comes across as the shy type, so knowing that half the world thinks they've seen you getting on the good foot probably doesn't do much good for the nerves. disasterplan44
"This year’s Glastonbury is already a sell-out, although Eavis says a small number of unclaimed tickets, no more than a few thousand, will be released at 9am on 5 April. The bill is slowly beginning to take shape, with Franz Ferdinand confirmed to headline The Other Stage on the Saturday night" http://news.q4music.com/2009/02/springstee...d_for_bruc.html Edited February 25, 2009 by disasterplan44

glasto_mongrel_2008
This is by far the best news I have heard in my life! Out the window goes my plan not to make a plan for Glasto this year. If this turns out to be true then I will most definitely be seeing them. Clashes just aren't an issue for this one. They could be giving out free money in 10 thousand pound bundles or have God headlining one of the stages giving a speech on the meaning of life and I'd still be watching Jack making his guitar scream! I'm flamin' happy happy happy Now I'm off to celebrate with some Strawberry Glasto Juice and watch this turn into the perfect day as the Scousers get hammered! "Bottle opener ready landlord, I'm on my way!"

Sam.
Scousers get hammered? That would mean Everton? 'Cos there ain't no true scouse in Liverpool FC!
