biffoire
Good addition. Other rock festivals would have them headlining so good support slot.
inspectedinspector
NOt that I like them, but thats pretty bitchy if Sonisphere organisers made them cancel that show just for the exclusivity thing & they agreed to it... t8yman
I agree, thats pretty low.
biffoire
They cancel more gigs than they play don't they? I caught 3/4 or a gig of theres before the tour got cancelled due to tonsilitus. I'd have prefered a refund rather than 15 quid for 40 minutes tbh! BlackGarden
They go where the big money is, even if it means cancelling a previous commitment. In all honesty, I'm not sure which idiot thought that, in general, people who liked the previous bands that have been announced, would like BFMV. I'm pretty sure, actually, that the reverse is true - most people who've bought tickets so far will not like them. On the official site there is a quote from Matt Tuck: "We’ll throw everything at it..." and I'm sure they'll get a hell of a lot thrown back at them and all. t8yman
to be fair to them they are OK live, I just got a bit bored of them really. but then I have gotten very bored of all of the metal cliche bands TBH

shrimpy53
Found this a bit annoying to be honest, already seen them 3 times! Not liking this whole affair though, it'd be nice to actually know the facts. You'd have thought money or not that they wouldn't give up a headlining slot! Unless Hammerfest isn't selling well or something so can't afford to pay them... hmm

shrimpy53
lol didn't mean it liken that! I'll be watching them for sure, just thought it was a touch anticlimactic of an announcement. the annoyance was only of the mild variety

Deering8r
I've only seen them once must admit i loved it at alexxandra palace mostly because i got in for free but yeh they cant be that high up the bill can they?
Collision
Surely they're not higher up the bill than the mighty Machine Head??

biffoire
Machine head are bestest friends with Metallica! Personally I think given how strong the line up will be, the running order won't matter as much as normal festivals. IE Sets getting gradually longer throughout the day. As the stages can sound check while the other is playing I wouldn't be suprised if most of the bands got similar length slots. I mean can you image the sacralage of NIN and placebo playing a 30 minute set as they're 3rd and 4th on the bill? As this is a new fest it's difficult to say! BrynC-M
i expect i'm gonna get a massively flamed for this, but i love them and can't wait for them to play. I've seen them 9 times already and they haven't bored me yet! and also in the UK they are a lot bigger than MH - sold out Alexandra Palace when MH didn't even sell out Brixton with Trivium supporting (plus others) - not saying that necescarily makes them better though! Rancidpunk_76
^^^^^^Fair enough. I gotta admit the Black Crusade didn't sell as well as i would've thought.
