Neil Young is not playing?

Now im not usually in the business of pissing on everyones bonfire but it thought I would share this with you what I have been told…..Neil Young is definitely NOT playing. This comes from someone I know that is a booker, not with Glastonbury but with another company and she told me the day before it was first rumoured on here that Bruce would be playing, and she came up trumps for me last year with the headliners before I read them on here even though they were rather unpredictable, it is for these reasons I for one am believing her and thought I’d post it on here. To me it does not matter if he does or does not play as I am not a massive fan and if he did I would quite happily find somewhere else to go..

If she trusts the source of her info (which i have no reason to doubt you) can she offer up an alternative then? If there is no alternative then how can she rule Neil Young out? It sounds like chinese whispers to me as I guess that the only way she would be sure he wasnt playing is if she knows for a fact another act is booked.

although it doesn't necessarily prove anything, I understand that Neil Young's record company are planning a re-issue of his catalogue around the time of Glastonbury.

Make of that what you will.

what I'm saying is that his record company appear to believe that he's playing Glastonbury.

I also happen to know that, until today (from this thread), they've not heard the remotest suggestion that he's not playing. However, that doesn't mean that they know for sure that he's playing.

In that case it may be that HRC has asked him to deny he's playing Glasto incase it affects their ticket sales? We can but hope...
