Glasto Drug Stories

First one is a mate who was chatting away to a girl in the Glade. He thought he’d pulled her as they were getting on famously.

He’s not a big drug fiend but he’s got the a huge nose and occasionally likes an odd line of coke if it’s being offered around socially.

Well this girl rather generously racks up 2 huge lines. She does one herself and hands the mirror over to my mate.

He thinks in for a penny in for a pound. Follows suit and huffs the whole line in one, cleaning the mirror to make sure that he’s got it all up.

He doesn’t click that he’s not got an instant rush and carrys on chatting.

Then suddenly it kicks in. He asks the girl what he’s taken she says Ketamine.

He totally loses it. Thinks the trees are attacking him. Starts screaming swinging at people and generally goes mental.

Two of our mates had to carry him back to the tent where they spent hours trying to calm him down and chill him out.

The same lad was at Glasto again a few years previously. It was a summer when there was a big football championship on at the same time – either the World Cup or European Championships. He was pretty mullered and stopped when walking through the market areas.

He stood there and watched the football on a big flat screen TV for about half an hour 40 minutes. This was back in the day before Plasma TVs and Flat screen TVs were a rarity and very very expensive.

After about half an hour someone came over and tapped him on the shoulder. He started talking to him asking if he was OK. He said he was fine. My mate then looked back to carry on watching the game and realised he’d be looking at a huge mirror!

Last one was my mate finding a baccy bag up in the Green fields on Wednesday afternoon with 30 mitzi pills which were like rocket fuel, some 2cb’s, about 1oz of hash and it even had enough baccy and skins to last him the weekend. It was a really scorcher of a weekend as well. We had a great time and spent a good portion of the weekend having a giggle about how gutted the person who lost it must have been.
