srvman
on friday morning pyramid... i think something a bit neutral is the norm, i cant even think of who would really do it, as its a high and low slot at the same time... someone with a certain familiarity id imagine.... James Morrision, Puaolo Nutini? something along those lines id imagne.... Depeche Mode would by my choice
Messy
I think Lily Allen's already been confirmed for a Friday afternoon slot.

Tugger2k
my favourite opener of all the festy's ive been to is Spearhead. it was one of the 90's ones in the blazing sun. a bit of dub went down a storm and really set me up for the rest of the weekend bit more of the same for me really then. Red Day
Darkness in 2003 were a great bit of fun. Sadly it was all downhill for them after that.
Katster
Anything has got to be better than Kate Gash last year. She was terrible. Hobo Jones and The Junkyard Dogs kicked off the festival for me

Petewasbristol
Seasick steve would be a beaut to get everyone up and running The give him a high spot on one of the other stages (JPS headliner?)

shortleg
Actually this is normally a highlight for me to get the ball rolling. Anyone remember that Norwegian band who had the plug pulled on them mid-song because they over ran? 2004? Great start to the festival. Their faces were a delight when it all went quiet. They were ok as well. Mind you 2005 was a bummer as we were bailing out and rescuing friends from the aftermath of the small downpour! Undertones were listened to whilst salvaging tents and stuff from underwater.

Joshuwarr
Art Brut would be brilliant although they aren't big enough. My guess it Laura Marling or Dodgy.

The Klumpster
Perhaps the Gods that are Tap are a bit too much to ask for. What about ANVIL, after all, they're not that far removed!!
staggerlee
It's not going to happen but Madness opening the festival would be brilliant. I imagine they'll have a Sunday slot though.
srvman
i was just thinking madness too....that would be the most perfect way to get a festival underway ever,.....
