alibear
IMO I think their last two albums have been good albums, but ultimately its all down to personal opinion. That's why different people harbour such diverse musical tastes! Just out of interest, does anybody know who the support act is for this year's tour? DiscoDolly
Day and Age is rubbish! Also, Brandon might be a good frontman, but he can't sing live. I've seen them 5 times too, before people cry "off-day"...
Pauljoanss
I saw them on Friday at the NEC and yes they were very good and carried the crowd all the way. But if I am allowed some "constructive critisim" 1. Louis XIV sound was not good, very bassi and distorted. My wife said "they should get someone out here to listen" then I pointed out the sound crew sitting in front of mixing desks with lots of light bars jumping up & down. Modern technology should be capable of better or is it a deliberate policy to downgrade the support act. We were worried for the Killers, but their sound was perfect. 2. BR's voice is one very important element of their sound. In my opinion it was too far back in the mix, should have been a lot more up front. 3. Again only my opinion, but I thought they peaked too soon. eg the final numbers of the main set "Mr Brightside" & "All things past" bought a higher level of excitement than the final numbers of the encore "Bones" & "When we were young". Would have been better to swop them over. Very good live band, would love to see them again at Glasto, shame 07 spoilt by sound.

usatoglas
ive seen them 5 times now so i am a fan (although not of the new album) 2005 & 2007 Glasto, 2007 V, 2008 Reading and at the O2 last month and have to say that i thought they have improved massivly, even dropping tunes into the set that i personnaly dont like did not detract from a great gig. for me they have got better every time ive seen them and last month was no exception. BF is a proper frontman these days and his voice has got stronger over time. good band, but too soon to have them back at glasto yet!! ivan
Having seem em plenty of times I think they peaked at Glasto 2005 and Leeds 2005 Cannot listen to the new album "Are we human or are we dancers ?" , makes me cringe
usatoglas
Cannot listen to the new album "Are we human or are we dancers ?" , makes me cringe I can't argue with that. I have held off even listening to that album based on that tune......
Tugger2k
i have to add that the venue may well have had something to do with it. its the 1st time ive seen them indoors and i havent been to a bad gig there yet and im always astonished by the acoustics/volume in the O2 (i suppose because i only have wembley and earls court to compare it to - size wise - and their shocking)
jollynolly
I saw them in Cardiff Sat night, my sixth time and I loved it. I would say that they were totally back on form
Moon Monkey
Saw them at sheffield arena for the 4th time last night. Killers were good but the crowd were at best tame. Seemed to be full of middle aged couples swaying like sone kind of elton john gig - which is ok if your into that but not my bag
