pedmills
Get there on the wednesday so you can explore as much as you can before you are distracted by bands and slowed down by crowds and mud. Spend some time at the stone circle. Don't go to bed too early, as late at night is when places like Trash City come to life. Don't spend too much time sat in your tent, try to make the most of the time you're there.

TheBoyInTheBubble
Wander around the shops without thinking "do I actually need that?". If it gets your interest, it'll be a great reminder of an amazing time. Says me with my little beady bracelet thingie on which I only bought to get cashback, but actually I wear it constantly as it reminds me of the best weekend of my life. Young Lover
one thing i've learnt to do is always spend the first couple of waking hours getting a proper breakfast (Hare Krishna tent is great, as are the smoothie bars, or the Dutch pancake place if you want a treat) and some coffee and a shower (if you're up in the early hours, then the Greenpeace showers are luxurious and quiet... otherwise it's gonna be stick your head under a tap). brush your teeth (pack some mouthwash for extra freshness!!). and if you're a wake and baker, don't roll it too strong, there's plenty of time for that later on! these are the ideal hours for chatting to your neighbours and finding out their plans for the day. many a great night has been organised with a simple "okay, let's meet back here this evening at 7" agreed between strangers. anything that sounds fun, that you might be slightly embarrassed about doing, just do it. if it doesn't harm anyone and it sounds like a giggle, then take the plunge. explore the site and talk to people. be nice. share your drink. share your drugs. share your food. explore explore explore. make the most of the sunset gigs, they really are beautiful. catch at least one sunrise (staying up all night on the sunday is a favourite). pace yourself... you want the comedown to start AFTER the festival! try all the different varieties of cider on offer. go on adventures. there are secret wonderful places with secret wonderful things happening every hour of the day and night, and if you chat to the right people, you'll find some of them and have some real fun. and at least once a day go for a stroll through the dance village and marvel at some people's stamina.
