which Bruce Springsteen tracks should i learn for Glasto

As I only know two Bruce S tracks .... born in the USA + born to run I thought I'd try and get to know a few more to make the most of his gig at Glasto

My friend let me borrow The Essential Bruce Springsteen with 42 tracks on it

So, if I was going to get familiar with ten tracks which ones would they be??

If they are not on this CD, she has a room full of his music so I find it somewhere

the problem is every show has a different set list

but the core ones i think it is good to know are

thunder road

the promised land

badlands

the river

long walk home

jungleland

no surrender

because the night

also when he starts his tour in april try www.backstreets.com for the setlists and you will have some idea of how the shows are shaping up

Thats a pretty good list. There are a few songs I would say we are 'virtually certain' to see...

BTR (played at every e street gig since 1975)

Badlands

Promised Land

Because The Night

The Rising

Long Walk Home

I love that...None of those are from USA. I wouldn't be surprised to see USA, Dancing or Glory Days in the encore tho. There's a fair chance of a couple of others, for example Hungry Heart, Prove It All Night, 10th Avenue Freezeout, etc.

This is my favourite Bruce tune. Seen him perform it live in Dublin last year :huh:

Hes got such a huge back catalogue that its hard to pick out the best, the ones I picked are some of my personal favs and Im 20 years old so may appeal to younger fans

I want to see him out of curiosity because my friend raves about him all the time

She is 30 years old and is going to Hyde Park on Sunday to see him for the 19th time - I want to know what this is all about

Of all the bands I've seen at Glasto in my two trips, I have only been a 'fan' of one band

For me, Glasto is to see bands, comedians, dance groups etc that I would not otherwise have an opportunity to see

bands that I am a 'fan' of I have seen before .... many times

it's all about new experiences for me

Yes, there may be other headliners who I would like to see on Saturday night, but they have not been anounced yet, and I don't want to wait - they may be people who I don't want to see for whatever reason

My Glasto experience started as soon as my ticket was paid for

Here is an example

I went to see JZee - I left after two songs ... not my thing, but I wanted to see him

I went to see Neil Diamond - the only song I recognised was Day Dream Believer ... I stayed to the end

I went to see the Royal London Gospel Choir ... I had so much fun

You don't need to be a fan to go and see an band

open your mind a little more :lol:

Just out of interest if you only know two songs, you're obviously not a fan, so why are you already decided on seeing bruce springsteen, rather than waiting for rest of saturday headliners?

Before anyone starts, i'm not anti springsteen.
