nu-marc88
probably because other festivals have to announce there line-ups to sell tickets.
johntrfc
Glastonbury sold out before any bands were announced. all these other festivals you mentioned wouldn't have a hope in hell of selling out if they didn't announce bands who were playing before putting the tickets on sale all these festivals that have announced lineups haven't gone on sale yet, they announce the lineup so that the tickets will sell as Glastonbury has already sold out there is absolutely no need for thm to announce the line up
The Badger Bites Back
They don't need to announce them yet..................... Do you have a ticket.................... YES Had they announced anyone when you bought it.......................... NO Are you going to cancel it whoever they announce........................ NO Why do you need other people to be talking about Glastonbury? Let them go to there inferior festivals, let them talk all they want!!!! GLASTONBURY is by far the best whoever plays and whenever they announce them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on June announce yourself.............................. StuwieG
Agree with you mate. After Jay-Z, KOL and Verve last year, it's a big come down IMO
spite_and_malice
I'm getting annoyed and anxious with Glasto and Leeds because I'm like yeah you've got my money so give me some decent info! I'm excited for Bestival and the line up was actually out before I got my ticket, it is irritating when other festival line ups get announced and others keep you in suspense for ages. pedmills
What big acts do you want? The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon have all headlined recently so won't be doing it this year. Blur, Doves, Franz Ferdinand and Bruce Springsteen have already been announced. You don't like Neil Young. Bloc Party, Keane, Fleetwood Mac, Kanye West and White Stripes all look likely. So there isn't anybody left other than Razorlight and Snow Patrol. pedmills
Oh and Coldplay but its debatable whether they would play after Emily said they wouldn't.
Sam.
its all about selling tickets. A lot of people buy their tickets for Glastonbury annually, regardless of the line up, because of the experience. Leeds / Reading wouldn't shift tickets if they didn't let you know who the big bands are that are playing. They make you wait for the smaller / filler bands though, because they can, they're tickets have already sold. I don't agree with it, mind, I wish they would announce the line up, but that is my opinion. I'm starting to swing to the anticipation side of things though! Tim2006
To be honest, I like the suspense and the rumours, it makes it a good build up...and anyway, when has Glasto ever let us down?!?!?!?! If you don't like a certain band then go and lose yourself in everything else it has to offer - there's so much more to Glastonbury and every year is totally different from the last! (At least it's not like V - that god awful place shuts down at like 10pm )
