Goblinz
There's been another near miss reported today , a helicopter crashed recently, another small passanger plane crashed a few weeks ago, the plane crash in the states a couple of weeks ago and then the crash landing in thHudson river a couple of months back. Just seems to be a lot of plane related incidents all happening at once.
Rufus Gwertigan
Don't forget about that broken wind turbine that was probably hit by a fighter ufo. I have heard that near misses occur more frequently than we know about, and lets face it planes are falling out of the skies all the time. Shinny
I think it's because the planets electromagnetic field is slowly being eaten away by minature aliens who will abduct us all and pose as our "saviours" just as we're all about to die a fiery death... Or I could be insane - but I wouldn't bet on it...

sifi
My brother-in-law works on black box devices for British Aerospace, and he says he's got the same amount of work on as he's ever had. He reckons it's just more media coverage.

Goblinz
Surely a plance crash is always going to get media coverage... it's not the kind of thing that the media ignores. Have there been any more planes in the sky over the last few months?

Rufus Gwertigan
Now if the Ozone layer is getting thinner then there is less to hold planes up, ergo they drop out of the sky. We are doooooooommed!!!

windy_miller
I saw a program about this a while ago. Once the pitot tubes stop working, the plane doesn't know how fast its going. Just about every instrument on board relies on this information to work properly. So basically, they were flying with no accurate readouts in the cockpit, making it pretty much impossible tell if they were accesnding, decending, which direction they were going etc.
lost
I think the scary part is once the pitot tubes start working again and they have full control of the plane they still manage to crash it making a basic error.
