bombfrog
I like to think I've got a fairly broad musical perspective and enjoy all sorts, but it's always the dance acts that seem to provide the boggest party when the sun goes down. Maybe it's because I've been listening to indie bands all day and I've got a few bottles of cheap wine inside me. Maybe it's the light show. Maybe it's the fact that they always sound good on big sound systems. Who knows? Anyway, for me, Basement Jaxx in 2004, Fatboy in 2005, Chems in 2007, Groove Armada in 2008 have been absolutely wonderful. So, where's the big other stage dance headliner this year? We've been told it's a probable no from Faithless, definitely not orbital, definitely not Prodigy, nothing from Daft Punk despite an internet petition (which is odd because they always work!). So, will there be a chance for a good dance up at an outdoor stage this year? Who's still in the running? The Streets Basement Jaxx again Daft Punk still? Underworld Fatboy again Pendulum (not big enough?) Tiesto Or, could it possibly be that DJ Yoda is finally going to get a headline slot? bombfrog
When I said... "Maybe it's because I've been listening to indie bands all day and I've got a few bottles of cheap wine inside me" I was referring to an average evening at Glastonbury, not an average lunchtime in March. pedmills
Well as Kanye West is probably looking the most likely for the sunday other stage headline slot, he will probably be instead of the dance act this year. Fatboy Slim is strongly rumoured btw.
joelovesleeds!
I think the Streets will play, but looking at their slot not even headlining the JJb tent at V, I can't see him being an outdoor headliner at Glasto

Matt 100
Never thought about Fat Boy Slim, just assumed he would be playin one of the smaller tents but maybe this year he could do the other stage. Ive never managed to see him at glasto as Ive always been told that u have to get to the smaller tents hrs before cos they fill up really quick, would love to see him though. I remember watchin his set in 05 on the box & it looked amazing.

Homer
If anyone's interested, I've just discovered the Japanese Pop Stars and they have TBC next to the Fri and Sat of Glasto here: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendID=61745440 They're a lot like the Chems and I would def make a beeline to the Dance Village for them! Tunes 1 and sound best. (Apologies if I'm completely late on this one - I'm 32 for flip\s sake!)
