Yeh I am going to see friends who I havent seen for years rather than for the bands etc but they tell me it is like a mini glasto so I am quite looking forward to it really.

I fear for the weather though, what with it practically being in scotland! Going that far north will give me a nosebleed!

They're playing just about everywhere - I know of several fests they're booked for but not announced for yet.

amazing how such an average band have dragged out nearly twenty years of a career on the back of the whole madchester thing ian browns got more talent and coolness in his little finger than burgess has in his entire body although i must confess the charlatans were one of the very first proper gigs i ever went to.... and 90% of the crowd were wearing stone roses or inspiral carpets t shirts
