Dealing with eFestivals Addiction

Anyone got any strategies for limiting looking at these boards?! I'm thinking of imposing a daily time restriction on myself - currently I have a quick nosy around breakfast time, several pop-ins during the day, and if I'm not out in the evening, this is where I'll be! Dammit eFestivals, you're taking over my life!!

It's not possible, I mean the top poster on here has posted 25,000 times. You'll keep going and going and going and going and going.............

The poster who shall remain nameless (hello Paul :)) has posted plenty more than that too, i'm pretty sure i'm right in saying that he's passed the 20,000 mark 3 times now :) (due to the culling of old posts/threads).

Hi ;)

Yes lost about 2,000 or so

My average is only 13.64 posts per day.. doesn't sound as bad :)

And I do go to a lot of festivals.. so post in a lot more of the other forums

Dammit here I am again!! Hehe..

But you old hands are something different.. is there a table somewhere which shows the different membership levels vs post numbers? Is there a point where Neil just throws in the towel and hands the site over to you? (Paul presumably if there were, you would have reached it by now ;))

I too am worried about efestivals addiction, I've been out of work for 8 weeks and discovered the site on my second day at home, I now spend most of my day on here as it really helps pass the hours. I start my new job on Monday and I'm really concerned about how I'm going to fit in work, efests AND keep the wife happy (she actually expects me to talk to her on a night aqnd not just sit on the laptop!!). I'm just not sure how I'll fit it in and I'm really worried that one of the 3 might have to go and my work and efests are now too important to me to give up! I'm not sure how happy the wife might be about it but when it comes down to it I really don't have a choice. I just hope she understands!

Is there anybody out there with some advice for me? I don't want to get rid of her as she's a good cook but I just can't see it working any other way.

I blame my manager at work. My previous work computer always crashed when accessing eFestivals, but this one is having no probs except on the MFG's. I'll probably get busted and culled from the workforce eventually but until then I have to live with this addiction.

Its not fair they have the internet blocked at my work only thing we can get on his bbc news website and travel websites. I work for BA lol not so we can plan our holidays but its what we end up doing. I have to content myself with looking at the entertainment pages on bbc news hoping for festival updates.

The corrolation for me comes in the shape of the more work I have to do, the more time I spend on efests. Glastonbury more so then other festivals as well because the forums are so much busier, and because the lineup is announced so much closer than other festivals leaving more interest on rumors and gossip.

yep - the perfect answer is to buy yourself some efests goodies so that you can be reminded of efests without being here. ;)

T-shirts, hoodies, fleeces, hats, and more

Well not really as he screwed the link up :)

Working linky

Which reminds me, I need a new fleece. Do they come in any other colours Neil if specially ordered? :)

*edit*

Just noticed it says they do -

* NOTE: the fleeces can also be supplied at the same price as a special order in colours 'black', 'royal' (blue), 'bottle' (green), and 'navy' (blue), and in sizes small, medium, large, XL, & XXL.

Any pics of the Royal and Navy blue colours or anything similar?

nope, sorry, no pics of the different colours - but they're very standard of those colours.
