Getting to Glastonbury from Portsmouth

Hey all...I live in Jersey and I'm getting the ferry to Portsmouth (arrive at 6:30am), can anyone give me advice on how to get to the festival from there as we cant drive there this year.

It would also be appreciated if you could give me advice on how to get to Poole from Glastonbury because that's where the ferry goes back on the Monday.

Train is your best bet.

Service might not be the same in June, but at the moment there's one that leaves Portsmouth Harbour at 6:51 and arrives at Castle Cary at just before 10. There are regular trains from Castle Cary to Glasto for the duration of the festival.

Or if you ask nicely in the liftshare forum you could get a ride? I'm just down the road but not planning on driving this year, sorry! For the price of a bit of fuel its all good fun.
