Any news on Kanye playing?

Now Neil Youngs been confirmed It'd be cool to get an idea of whose gonna be on the Other Stage at the same time. The rumours on here all seem to be pretty true so I'm hopeful.

I'd certainly be happy with that. I'd like to co-incide my first rap concert with my first glasto!

Ever since seing Jay-Z on TV i've wanted to see something like that, and with Kanye we'd be getting probably the next best thing.

Just hope he doesn't do too much 808s and Heartbreak. Gimmie Jesus Walks and Diamonds From Sierra Leone!

I agree about 808's, it's a good album but I think his older stuff would go down better (Stronger, Flashing Lights etc).

Only problem I can think of is his ego - Would he play second fiddle when Jay-Z had headlined the year before? I hope so...

I dont think he would mind playing second fiddle to Jay-Z

if im not wrong Jay-Z basically promoted Kanye when he wasnt a big name etc.

i dont even think even he can compare himself to Jay-Z quite yet.

All this 'Kanye's ego' stuff is rubbish, the man is confident not arrogant and he's completely reverential towards Jay-Z. He'd be an amazing booking for an Other Stage headline slot, if he puts his all into it he'd totally upstage Jay-Z too, just check some of the Late Orchestration videos for the kind of thought Kanye puts into performances:

i um and arred about going to glastonbury last year and in the end didn't go, seeing the how intro and jay z dropping into 99 problems and the place erupting, i was in awe and instantly gutted!

Kanye would be a cracking alternative to neil young, don't see why people don't like his newest album though, I think it's fantastic, would like to hear a few tracks from that mixed in with hits from the other albums, lupe fiasco before him as he's got a new album out in june, and performed on touch the sky.

I'm not missing any of the Pyramid headliners, but I really want to see Kanye. He would be awesome before Neil Young on the Pyramid... Bruce is the one I'd most likely skip some of to see some Kanye, but I'd really rather not, even though I saw him twice last year...

Also (To Neil or whoever would be in the know) are the Other Stage headliners booked for Glasto around the same time as the Pyramid headliners are? Just wondering if Kanye/Bloc Party/Whoever else is rumoured would already have been asked like Franz.

Saw kanye at hammersmith back in 2006 for the touch the sky tour. I won't be missing for Young for him, but he puts on an excellent show.

I saw him at Lolapalooza in his hometown of Chicago last year, and honestly, was a little bit bored with the show. Maybe it was because I was towards the back of the crowd where people weren't really dancing or anything, I'm sure if I had bothered to get closer it would have been more entertaining.

That being said, I really like his new album, and if there isn't anything that I absolutely need to see playing elsewhere I'll probably choose him over Neil Young.

I seen him earlier this year & I would love for him to be headlinin the other stage on the Fri as it would be a good alternative to NY, who Iam not that bothered about seein, but I dont know what it is I just dont think its goin to happen, I think we would of heard more about this by now.
