This may sound mad, but my fave weather (kinda) was 2005. The Thursday was an absolute scorcher which ment waking up to the downpour on Friday morning more of a surprise. But I remember dancin to Fat Boy at 11pm in just shorts and boots and it still being warm. Then Sunday afternoon watching Brian Wilson in scorching sunshine.

Last year was ok but wall to wall sunshine and heat this year....gotta be! :P

i seem to remember 99 and 2000 being good ones but then after the damp of 97 and 98 anything seems good

2005 didn,t come anywhere near as bad as those late 90,s years i seem to remember that there was even talk of stopping the 97 as the ground near the main stages was so marsh like

Hiya,

I have been to Glastonbury in 2005, 2007 and 2008 and it has rained at all of them!! Admittedly last year wasn't too bad but it would have been better if we hadn't had torrential rain on the Thursday!

I was just wondering when the last "scorcher" was- surely we are due a good year this year?!?

I think it was '99 that was nice and I got sunburnt. Last year when the Levellers were on I cried a lone tear. The tear mingled with the water running down my face and off my nose as I watched the sheer amount of rain flooding my pint of Brothers. I was so worried that I was in a Glastonbury Groundhog day that had actually started in '05, continued through '07 and was still rolling. My last thoughts when I went to bed were not positive but my mood certainly improved as the weather did! In my mind the rain and not the headliners played the largest part re: '08 ticket sales. Whilst we were pushing the millionth car out of the mud in '07 (and I was busting my ankle in the process) many groups of people who'd been going for years said they just couldn't face another like that. I felt the same then but '08 made me so glad i'd changed my mind. I really really think this year is going to be a scorcher so sod Metcheck!

the mud only lasted for a v.short time last year. it dried out in no time after the rain thursday night.

the year before though, it rained every day, that was terrible.
