:P

Please play before Bruce... slow and then fast... but most importantly, PLEASE BE THERE ON THE FRIDAY AND PLAY WITH NEIL. We'll never get to see CSNY agian over here I fear.

And why on earth would anyone complain about the age of artists? Surely you should be more happy to get the opportunity to see them as you couldn't 30 years ago as you weren't alive, as I wasn't merely 22 years ago. Neil Young, Sprinsteen, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Fairport Convention, Madness, the Stranglers and many others I've been privelediged to see of late, and all were excellent. Yet the last band I saw was Florence and the Machine. Embrace everything, or be an idiot.

:P:):):):D

I'll be there watchin this lot cause they're livin leg ends but just seein that 'our house' footage, could picture the look on the faces of those complaining about too many oldies. It just tickled me somehow. I wonder who will be next to be announced, my money's on Howard Jones :)

Anyway, I'm off now to see Elbow :P

I'd be there for Howard Jones, to relive my very-younger years :P

Martin, I'm starting to tune-in each evening just to see your latest reaction :)

Think I would make the effort. Given that there's only so many acts I could ever reasonably manage in one Glasto, CSN would be up there behind Neil Young & Fleetwood Mac but ahead of Bruce who is now just not going to be seen (no longer planning to fool myself for him).

I'm sure we're not alone. I'm pissed off I wasn't born in the 70's, but at least I get to see a lot of bands now... just pissed I missed Love the other year...

Pfft, all threads get this way. I didn't know Love back then, got him mixed up with Arthur Brown, and when I realised it wasn't I didn't go... and then... blah. Found an old ticket from 2005 when Love and Arthur played Manchester Academy in the basement there the other day and nabbed it as a memento of something I never saw...

LMAO!!! I am currently trying not to wake up the whole family as I've just clocked (see separate thread) that my all time favourite guitar hero, Steve Hillage, is playing not just with Gong but as the Steve Hillage Band - I'm not going to be able to sleep now - surely this is all a big hallucination?
