I reckon A55 and A41 are your best bets mate. Probably take you about 2 and half hours. A few of my friends came down from Chester at they reckoned it was ok until the A41 and the A5 will be chocked from 9am onwards.

06 and 07 i was pitched up by 8am and last year it was ment to open at 12 and i was in at 10am i think it was. it always opens way earlier than they say, police get 2 fed up of trying to get rid of traffic so when it builds up they open the gates. the in law is quite high up in police force so we get all the inside gossip

Am setting off from sunny Stoke around 7am, they normally open the parking between 8 and 9 because the A5 and motorway get choked up otherwise and people going to work complain.

I can't be bothered to set off any sooner as have U2 concert the night before, suffice to say proplus will be sponsering me this V.

Oh and don't be put off by big queues of traffic, its just an excuse to wack on some great tunes.

im coming up from Oxford so its a pretty long drive and i need to make sure im past Birmingham ASAP to avoid the morning rush hour traffic - last 2 years ive arrived at weston around 9am and walked straight in to the camp site no problems. Same again this year, might leave a bit earlier because of no early bird this year so more traffic friday morning and i wanna get a good tent spot!!

i honestly couldnt tell you what roads off the top of my head! I know we come up the motorway follow all the signs that say V festival. End up on an A road that leads straight to Weston Park (there is a roundabout which i can either go all the way round to park in one set of carparks (where i end up having to walk round the outside of the arena to get to the campsites) or i can take a right and go through "a village" with a big long wall to my left (i assume part of the park grounds) and park in that set of car parks where i end up at the top of the site and walk downhill straight into the campsite areas.

Havent seen an asda though? plenty of laybys on the road in with people parked in waiting to go into the festival though - a few people with signs saying they wanna buy tickets and a few burger vans, and welly stalls!! lol
