i feel for everyone in this boat at the moment

i'm lucky enough to be in the middle of a 10 week contract at the moment so £100 a week is going to the GF to pay for the summer (i bought my tickets last year) but have no idea when i'll be working again after this contract finishes

stragely tho, i think this could make for one of the best glasto vibes ever. we all know its hard out there in the real world at the moment and i suspect people will be even more eager to forget their troubles for 5 days and hang out with good people, friends and strangers alike, and make it even all the more memorable.

We were told last Monday that our office is to close. In the consultation period now with a further meeting on Thursday. Hoping I'll hang on to end of March.

Have seen it coming for months. Paid my ticket balance in January, the day before returning from the Christmas break.

On the bright side, probably wont have to leave Glasto on the Sunday night :(

Wont do much for efests forum addiction though :)

haha, i think i chose the worst time to leave my job and move to london. Not had a job since jan and have no money for glasto. Decided to pay off the balance before i moved to make sure i'd still go though and glad i did. Finngers crossed for interview coming up next week :D

Yes- good luck to you all. Fingers crossed.

I was supposed to start looking for something else today- am still recovering from my knee injury but I have about 50% mobility back again- but to put the cheery on the cake I'm starting to get a stinking cold. Somehow feeling sorry for myself and titting about on here is more preferable.

I'm so sorry to hear about all the people being made redundant/out of work on here, I was hating my job in December and was really thinking about leaving, really glad I didn't now, I broke my leg in early January and luckily I get full pay sick where I work, I would have been up shit creek if I had left and certainly wouldn't have been able to pay off my Glasto ticket!

I'm glad that people are still looking forward to Glasto in a bad situation, it can be done on a budget, i've done Glasto when i've been on the doll before (the tickets were a bit cheaper back then though!) and it was just as enjoyable as when I've had money, if you have good friends around you it really doesn't matter :D

i feel for everyone who's out of work atm, things are hard for many people at the moment.

makes me sick to see that the people who were part of the cause of this are still getting hefty wages & bonuses ...despite the government bail out using taxpayer money

a large amount of taxpayers lose jobs because of these people, taxpayer money used to bail them out, they still have jobs and big bonuses..disgusting

look at RBS, that 700k pension was decided AFTER the first injection of billions of taxpayer money
