hearing echo and the bunnymen are playing it reminded me of the dislikes between bands and how i always used to hate it when bands i really loved hate the other, esp as im a kind of ecletic music/peace loving kinda guy

eg

Echo and the Bunnymen and U2

Manics and Levellers

Levellers and Men they couldnt hang/New Model Army...i read somewhere

Blur and Oasis are the most obvious i guess but as im not a fan of either its not a problem

anyway...any other examples folks?

Over the years we've played with bands who have simply been pr***s. Nothing you can do about it. It's normally the singer, backed up by his lead guitarist. Thankfully us drummers get along just fine...I dont know what it is, there is no "animosity" at all between most top drummers in the music industry. We all know and like each other, share ideas and hang out.

Unlike those flamin guitarists who just have to boast about their new 7th scalic mode dominant 9th chord with a lemon twist. That's how most fights start!

No offence mate but have you made any post yet that didn't reference how you're in a band? :)

By that I mean - tell us what band you're in or stop going on about it!

The Strokes and The Libertines, though that was pretty one sided on Julian's part. They were my favorite bands in high school, so sometimes it felt like I was being pulled in two different directions.

Blur and Oasis were another obvious one for me, but my love for Blur has always been stronger...and this one has lost it's edge over the years.

Radiohead and Blur was the other that I felt affected by...but that was just a fan created feud, I don't think the bands were ever involved. I avoided Radiohead for a long time thinking I had to choose sides, but I've given it up...I love both of them musically, but I love the boys of Muse as people...they are too adorable.
