I agree mate. Poor old fur_q is one of those small minded people who just blindly accept whatever rubbish people want to feed them.

He has a plasticine mind - people can mould him into whatever they please.

All we can do is be patient with people like this and speak to them verrrrry sloooowwwwly and hope some of the information sinks into their thick skulls.

I wont be holding my breath though and think I will waste no more of my time on him.

LostRiot - love it! very funny I like your style. All that talk of food has made me hungry tho. lol

GlastoMad - totally agree that you could get hit by a bus tomorrow. But you might not get hit by a bus for the next 50 years and may end up thinking... why didn't I go on a bit of a diet and maintain a decent healthy weight for the past 50 years.

yeah, 2 ways of looking at it but I have already lost alot of weight recently from eating good stuff and exercising. I will be in excellent shape for Glasto this year and when the end of June arrives and we all travel to the greatest fields on earth - I know I will be pleased I made the effort with my weight and fitness when I am drinking gallons of beer. LOL

At the end of the day - its how you feel in yourself that matters. I felt lousy about being a overweight and not exercising so I did something about it. I have extremely limited my 'treats' and 'goodies' but when I end up in the condition I want to be in June - I will then start enjoying nicer things again but do so sensibly.

Deffo NOT giving up my weekend beer tho.

I still HATE that SpecialK advert too! ;-)

lol @fur_q: Suggesting that perhaps milk isn't the best thing ever for humans to consume is not "dangerous"! I haven't consumed any milk/dairy products in five years and I'm not in danger because of it. Just use your common sense - cows don't drink human breast milk, so why should we drink theirs?! Also, most soya milk, breakfast cereals and plenty of other foods are fortified with calcium, so it is available elsewhere (not just drinking cows' milk).

Reducing your consumption of meat and dairy is likely to make you healthier (one good scientific example of this is the Oxford Vegetarian Study, which showed that vegetarians and vegans [vegans in particular] are generally healthier than those who consume animal products). May I suggest that you undertake your research more open-mindedly in future instead of blindly believing what you're told. I'd also like to point out that evidence from Cancer Research UK is probably not all that reliable since they test on animals, although that's opening a whole other can of worms, so to speak.
