Boris
Damn so many fools loving the Grand Rippoffe eesh yes that pan of sausages looks tempting indeed, stirred with such teasing glances by the staff.. as they generously balance a single 'sample' upon your mini mound of sliced spuds. worthyraver
I have no idea what this was but the photo was taken in 2007 on the Thursday at midday next to The Brother Bar. Does not look great:

BiffyClyro95
How many of the foods stalls are open 24/7, and any good ones? And are most of the stalls open by 8/9am or whatever?
incident
How many of the foods stalls are open 24/7, and any good ones? And are most of the stalls open by 8/9am or whatever? Common Ground Cafe is 24/7 and (politics aside) the food is pretty good. Aside from that, not many of the "talked about" food stalls are 24/7. The others tend to be the various campsite cafe places that serve fairly generic fare.

Hasn't the common ground cafe moved next to the jazz field. I always remember in in the acoustic field?

neilloggie
I am sure it was in the Acoustic Field last time. I'm sure it was. Looks like you are having a quiet summer,i think you need to book a few more festivals!
TheNewUnion
Yep, it's next door to Acoustic. Waited 25 minutes for a pizza last time, but it was a good pizza and I was in no rush. Also had Cous Cous salad thing and some cake there, very nice indeed, decent place to chill too. They do have a religious vibe going on there if that's your thing, but they aren't in your face and don't hassle, so all is good. All in all, worth a visit (there was a story about them getting kicked out of the festival a few years back, but cannot remember why/what all I remember is decent food and a decent group of people)

There's an All Night Cafe up on the hill towards Radio Avalon/Worthy FM (I think in Big Ground) that's open 24/7. Quite reasonable.

I have walked back through the market area several times at 5/6 am and there's always a few open. similarly the opening to the dance village always have a few open. to edit; lot's of generic burger places etc are open at this time but there are also some really nice places open still. I had one of the best croque monsieur iv'e ever eaten at about six one morning coming out of the dance village. brightyoungthing
PIEMINISTER!! Next to brothers bar. Get the mothership! (Pie, mushy peas, mash & gravy with onions mmmm!)Perhaps it's just the Northerner in me but there's nothing quite as satisfying as mash and gravy and a decent pie! Fills you up for the day too
