Glastonbury food with pictures

Apart from a now non existent seafood stall up near the Acoustic stage, its probably the best food I've had in my time going.

Can imagine a seafood stall is a bit of a risk, imagine the scenes if you got ill! Long drops would be carnage!

where did she get this map from/picture from? Is it part of one of the whole site? or just the greenfields I really like it!

Think its off the Greenpeace fields Facebook page and unfortunately its just that field thats covered, it is cool and should probably be attributed to its source so will add that to the to do list!

Thanks to everyone who's had a look so far!

Of course for me the Goan Fish Curry in West Holts, but walking away from there, facing away from the stage and walking right, just round the corner was a great kebab/paneer stall too

Was this the one in the little walkway between West Holts and Avalon? my mate was most disappointed he never got a Goan fish curry from there.

I must admit, I don't really eat too much at Glastonbury. My stomach wont hold much due to the booze and stuff, but

I had a great pie and mash (hardly gormet, but I good pie is still a good pie!) from a place opposite the Kasbah (I think) and a garlic chilli dish near the John Peel which was expensive, but very nice.

see above. The gumbo is a separate stall but he also did crayfish. They'd run out of that when I got there. I'm spotting a theme here.

I was feeling a little precious and my mate had the gumbo, and right next door was a soup stall, so I had potato and leek soup which did just the job it needed to.

Last year I heard about a van selling Raclette cheese melted on potatoes but had no luck finding it. Did anyone go there that remembers where it was?

This sounds like La Grande Bouffe. There was one in the West Holts food area and, I think, another but not sure where.

Unfortunately not, Grande Bouffe is already a firm fave, always get at least one super royale whenever we visit the farm.

This Raclette van is an actual van that just sells this melted swiss cheese, they put the whole wheel under a grill and scrape the melted cheese onto a plate of mash I think. Came with great reviews from friends but no directions!
