I haven't been to Glasto before (despite living not too far away etc.) and I'm really looking forward to going .

Now, I read the moron thread so I won't ask any stupidly obvious questions or whatnot. However I am wondering about some of the things on offer.

Firstly, I'd like to ask if there are any lil place(s) where I could listen to video game music. It would be nice to go somewhere where I could listen to stuff like Nobuo Uematsu's (Final Fantasy games) work, the Metal Gear Solid music and stuff like that. Obviously not with the composers themselves there, but their works played by an orchestra or suchlike.

Something similar to the above for other music (such as Star Trek, Star Wars), would also be fun .

Also, are there any bits for goth, industrial, darkwave etc music? How about any metal bands and suchlike? It would be great fun to jump in a mosh pit.

Is there anything else fun that y'all would recommend in particular to go check out?

never come across or heard about it, nice thought though

and again people say there are all types of music represented (and there are a shit load)

but industrial/goth/metal are seemingly missed out even on smaller stage, shame really

considering in the past Tool/Apc/NIN (certainly way more that i dont know about/interest me) have played and NIN even headlined but they main consensus is that its due to the Rosklide incident that Eavis stop booking such acts

A couple of years ago, a mate of mine became mayor of a small Northern town. He had to choose the music he wanted the brass band to play during the ceremony for his investiture. Big ceremony, all the great and good of the town there. Anyway, he chose the Internationale, The Marseiliasse and then his son's choice, the music from Final Fantasy VII. Don't quite know what the town Brass Band thought of his choices, but fair play, they had a good stab at it.

never seen any theres abit of rock and few comedy stuff and few noise bands but if you think about it a few of the dance acts have a bit of metal cross over
