Ever Met anyone Famous at a Festival?

It's just occured to me that I've had drinks with The Rifles twice, shit band, nice guys though! My mate's a massive fan and despite having hardly any money at the time he bought them 80 quids worth of booze

I met Henry Rollins in 06 at Download after his spoken word set, really nice guy, very intense but nice.

Oh I also met some members of Sikth that year and they fed me loads of Jaggermeister!!!!

I was at XFM Winter Wonderland Glasgow with the Stereophonics headlining (who everyone in the place was obv there to see).

Anyways Fightstar were 2nd band on and I was obviously the only fan in the place and the guitarist pointed at me then done that stupid devil hand thing. I refused to comply.

i just gawped and stared as he walked past. i wouldn't have known what to say, the man is a god.

I camped with the brother of Paul Smith (Maximo Park singer) at Leeds 06. Not that he's at all famous or anything, just looked EXACTLY like his brother! Only really met performers at gigs, had a chat with Sonic Boom Six, The Aquabats, OPM and a few other small bands, no one huge though haha. Oh and Eddie Argos from Art Brut gave me the mike to sing part of "Formed a Band" last year

I know at various places Ive met Carlos Cueller [plays for Villa at the German market in Birmingham], Andy Gray, Shane Richie at WWE shows at NEC, Sunna [remember them?] at the Little Civic in Wolves years ago, erm.... theres tons more I dunno...

ok, not really all metal/rock people, but working in the students union had some good benefits!

served/carried Goldie Lookin' Chain their rider, drank a large part of Girls Aloud's rider (unfortunately after they'd left, not with them...), had strange hand-gesture/nod/wink 'respect' from Dizzee Rascal, 'roadied' for and met The Subways, and stood at the side of the stage and checked passes for Arctic Monkeys. didn't meet 'em mind, cos had no desire to whatsoever! few other smaller acts i'm sure i interacted with along the way.

reasons like that why i miss working for minimum wage in a place full of students! but i really don't miss it THAT much...

i worked with download radio in '07 so met loads of bands then.. bruce dickinson and corey taylor were the highlights

I met Die and Toshiya from Dir en grey at Wacken 2007. Well, shook their hands at least. They signed my DVD too.
