With Fairport Convention's confirmation I thought I'd bump this thread.. I don't know too much about the folk world, but I like what I've heard so far.. scrolling through this thread it looks like the following are confirmed or rumoured:

Andi Neate

Seth Lakeman

Emmy the Great

Stornoway and the Travelling Band

Frank Turner

Sheelanagig

Eliza Carthy

3 Daft Monkeys

PRonghorn

Chumbawamba

Lancashire Hotpots

Peatbog Faeries

Seize the Day

Does anyone have any other tips for folky bands who are rumoured or confirmed to be playing this year?

Nice update Sam. Looking forward to some of those. Didn't realise Chumbawumba are confirmed. Not sure they're folk either, but not so sure how they present themselves these days.

BTW Stornoway and The Travelling Band are two different groups who won't be playing together as far as I know.

Show of Hands please and Seth Lakeman.

There's a great lineup this year at the Trowbridge Pump. Lovely festival and highly recommended.

Hoping Seth Lakeman & Fionn Regan play. Went to see a folk singer called Karine Polwart on Thursday night in Belfast, she and her band were great and also very chatty between songs so would like to see her at Glastonbury

Sounds like Emmy the Great will be playing from this-

From Article:

At the other end of the piper scale is Emma Lee Moss, better known as Emmy the Great, who released her first album this year but is already a veteran of the festival circuit. "Last summer we played 11," she recalls. "This year it looks as if it'll be two or three a weekend from Glastonbury onwards."
