as far as i'm concerned, Josh Homme needs to STOP being the really brilliant, innovative, don't-give-a-f**k, writer and performer that he is/has-been/i don't know, its been a while since i saw him play, and:

a) smell the 'reformation' idea

:) take the pay cheque

c) plead and make the others take the paycheque

d) reform KYUSS.

Rob Zombie, i'm talking to you here too.

and to anyone who likes the support band of Eagles Of Death Metal that are coming up, The Hot Melts, check out their history, and search Valhalla and The Laze on myspace. i'm not a fan of the band but they're intrinsically linked with the music scene round mine that i like :)

and trust me, a lot of it is f**king AWESOME.

I'm not sure the Eagles of Death Metal will be at Download this year, haven't heard any concrete rumour as such. That said, I sure as hell would like them there. Excellent band.

queens are a weird one, rated r and songs for the deaf are two of my favourite albums, yet they were alright(ish) first time i saw them when i didn't know anything other than singles, and shite when after being a massive fan, they played all the filler from era vulgaris and none of the good stuff :angry:

I met Jesse in the crowd the year they played the main stage... they all seem to blur into one so i cant say which one it was. As for Kyuss reforming i dont think Brant would work with them again from what i've read but reformation seems to be the name of the game the last few years. Also talking of support bands at the London show Sweethead are also supporting (Troys other band) so that should be interesting.

Also a supposed qoute from Jho himself:

They're playing Leeds. It'd be easy to say that that rules them out but The Prodigy are 2nd headlining so who knows?

They would add a nice slice of variety to the event!

Wonder if Josh Homme is actually touring with them this time (he doesnt usually for anyone not in the know)

Saw EODM on Sunday night. J-Ho wasn't on the drums but funnily it was Joey Castillo who was drumming for them.

About QOTSA. One of my top ten favourite bands ever. But they were poor at Leeds last year. Them followed by Rage had potential to be the best thing ever but it just fell on it's arse, blame partially goes to the uncooperative crowd who were clearly just waiting for "TEH RAGEZ0RZ!!!!!1111" (despite a lot of them clearly only "liking" Rage after Leeds '08's line-up was announced. :lol: ) They were quality at Oxegen years ago though.
