I would say that if you can never usually get drunk on carling and tend to drink yourself sober on it, then drinking it at Glastonbury won't be any different I'm afraid. Tis a false economy if the cheaper drink doesn't *actually* get you drunk

Edited to get rid of annoying grammatical error.

I always get confused between Carling and Water - they both taste so similar... Water is the one that comes out the tap - right?

:O

(yeah, I know that in theory Carling can come out of a tap too, but there is no comic value in admiting that - thought I would admit it however with a sneaky edit before some smarty pants jumps in and corrects me. ha)

Nope, pretty sure I've never been drunk on Carling alone... however, if you are a budget and want to get smashed, try taking a big swig of supermarket brand whisky in between cans. You'll be grinning in no time.

Alternatively, special brew goes down a treat if you can stomach it.

It's obvious I was penniless fence-jumping student once, is it not?

I'm guessing if you say you can't get drunk on carling your not that much of a regular drinker and/or you drink slowly. Any 4% lager will get you pissed if drunk in what I class as standard drinking time- aprox 30 mins per pint when taking it easy, 20 mins when you are out drinking properly.

I can never be bothered with all that lugging so usually take 5 bottles of spirits - (one per day - very necessary) and a couple of wine bags.

I only buy really cheap disgusting wine though and I usually end up burping acid for the weekend so I'm going to leave it behind this year.

Some friends of mine are working the Wednesday and in return for them bringing ALL of my stuff including alcohol (taking a couple of bottles of strongbow in lieu of wine) I will be taking and erecting (oo er) there tent. Bearing in mind they are the cheapest, nastiest, lightest tents around I'm going to put in a big woop woop for my 'kindness'

Hmmm...Why would you want to get so drunk, and miss out on all around. I can't se the sense in spending all that dosh on a ticket only to end up trying to get drunk on Carling...you can do that anyplace...Why Glastonbury?...and Why Carling??? unless that is you can't handle real ale or decent cider
