Peoples tips for getting tickets

This will be my first year getting tickets, and 5 or 6 friends are also getting them.

I know all about seetickets, and adding the "https" and such from reading these boards, but is there anyone who has a routine of how they get their tickets, that will help new people like me to know how to go about getting them?

Some of my friends will be on seetickets, on the phone to ticketmaster, and then down to Jumbo Records if they can't get them by 8pm... that kind of thing, anyone?

It sounds obvious but I know people forget, make sure you have an account for all the ticket websites well before hand, so you don't get slowed down registering when you finally get through.

Get all the separate websites running at the same time and keep trying them simultaneously, if you do get stuck in the crash, one of them will work eventually.

Make sure you stick around here as back door links will start appearing around 6.30 if last year is anything to go by. If you start trying to buy tickets from 6pm then you shouldn't have a problem. I got mine by 6.40 last year before the sites started getting hit hard by everyone at 7, that's probably the best way of doing it.

Yeh when people get through and post the links on here it normally helps me a lot. Think it has been the way I got tickets two outta the past 3 years.

Which websites should I sign upto before tickets go on sale? Seetickets and TicketMaster?

It helps with Ticketmaster - as you can associate cards, billing adresses, despatch addresses etc with your account. So you don't have to type any of them in on the night.

It's also quite cool anyway, as you can track artists and venues, customise email alerts etc.

I'm not sure you can sign up to See can you? If you can I don't think it makes much difference.
