that's a BAD let down from efests, from "TBC" to off the list completely!

our info can only ever be as good as our sources. We had what we believed to be good info that they were playing.

And we're not the only ones either. The likes of nme has said that Fleetwood Mac are playing, and you'll find them wrongly rumoured at plenty of other places too.

We've come clean about it as soon as we've been put straight - that's the best we can do. While we've got this wrong and getting stuff like this wrong is very rare, we did reveal first who this year's headliners are and got it spot on, much as we do nearly every year. ;)

fair enough, i've calmed down now. you do a great job generally - but i though TBC was when they self-confirmed themselves? i would prefer artists stay at "rumoured" until that stage.

what is marked as a tbc on efests is stuff where efests has had solid info - that should always be spot on - that an act is playing. It's not necessarily from public sources such as a band's website.

The Fleetwood Mac info came from one of our very regular sources, who give efests some fantastic exclusive info, and is very rarely wrong. While this turned out to be wrong I have no less faith in what he tells me because of this being wrong.

The info we were passed - supposedly (I have to take the source's word for it, I have no way to double-check) - came direct from the lips of Mick Fleetwood. I can only presume that, for whatever reason, Mick believed Fleetwood Mac to be playing Glasto when they're not. It happens and has happened before, tho I can't remember similar happening before with an act of this stature.

The same source has provided efests with some fantastic spot-on info over the years, including this year .... some of what he's provided this year has been contradicted from other sources, yet when further info has become available it's confirmed what he's told us. While this Mac info has turned out to be wrong, like I say, I still have huge faith in things he tells us because history proves so much of it 100% accurate (right down to detailed gossip around things too).

I had really got my hopes about this and am very disappointed :D , but at least I know there'll be countless other great things to see and do at Glasto. My excitement is undimmed!

As for eFests getting this one wrong; their accuracy is pretty damn good and there's bound to be the odd one that is incorrect. Of course, this does mean that I'll have to stop visiting the site and start rubbishing it to everyone now ;)

Tis a big disappointment but we have to remind ourselves that we booked when we didn't know they were likely to play so we're actually no worse off.

Can't blame Neil for trying to cultivate his normally reliable sources.

I suppose we will still actually have four headliners as someone has to round off every night. It's just that someone in slot two moves up to become the headliner.

As for whether FM would have bettered Bruce that's got to be pure personal taste. It would have been a difficult call for me had the two been on at the same time.

I could cry about this

I told me friend that they were definitely playing too and she's been dead excited. I am dreading giving her the bad news - I'm gonna look like a right 'nana
