Sam.
Having given up hope on GLastonbury a long while ago, I since joined this forum and slated the festival, its organizer and the blades of grass that live there. However since, the line-up has worsened (ducks)... (Stands) YET I have become more excited and confident about attending this festival. This is due mostly to the old timers here that insist how absolutely brilliant it is. Yes your biased, but if it was shit, it would be shit, and you wouldn't be biased. So to you lovely oldie folk, a big thanks from me I am now really looking forward to getting piss wet through and watching bands who I have never listened to even though they are world famous, and just having an overall fantastic time. It seems Glastonbury is SO much more than the line-up =-)

kohoutec
You'll love it. But you got one part wrong, it's going to be wall to wall sunshine for 5 days, no rain/mud
DaveMac
As one of the very many 'old timers' I can say with some confidence that you will have an excellent Glastonbury experience if you relax and 'go with the flow'. As many people have said before there is so much more to Glastonbury than the Pyramid headliners. If you like most kinds of music there is something for everyone young and old. Loads of stages big and small and impromptu stuff going on - see the Circus Fields If you want fun you are coming to the right place - it's the worlds best party imo! The place is vast with all kind of unusual things happening day and night. Everyone experiences their own Glastonbury moments which are never forgotten. Once you are inside the superfence you are in another better world for a few short days - fantastic vibe day and night! Read the threads here on efestivals and get as worked up as most of us here I hope in years to come you will become an Glastonbury 'old-timer' too and try and encourage 'newbies' who are yet to experience its joys ! Glad you managed to get a ticket anyway so you will be able to see Glasto for yourself in June

coolethan
You'll love it Sam. Will be my eighth this year and no doubt it will be the best weekend of the year. (despite the fact that I just looked at the Reading line up and cried a little inside! RADIOHEAD!!!)
