Dunney77
Hey I was just looking at the lineup announcment for Reading/Leeds and I noticed they both mention how KOL and Arctic Monkeys are exclusives bla bla as Reading always does (Rage and Killers etc). Radiohead however is not listed as any form of exclusive. I have a sneaky feeling Radiohead were to be the fourth headliner, which keeps in line with the two british bands what you guys think? Oh..and what are the odds on ian brown or pendulum being at glastonbury?
Redcanadahat
pendulum always play the festivals so yeah they'll prob make an apperance. i thought there would be no 4th headliner, so no radiohead.

sjhande
Personally would love to know if it was RHead and if it was - the truth about what happened. Last year they apparently didn't play because the festival wasn't green enough. This year they play Reading/ Leeds - those well known ecologically sound festivals. If it turns out (which is possible from what I can see) that they entered into some form of agreement (however tenuous) that they would play Glasto and then they pulled out - then a pox on them twice over. F*ck it - its still the best festival and I'm gonna have a good time even if Tony Christie headlines. And to contradict myself - cannot believe that they seriously thought RHead supporting Bruce would work - so that leans me more towards the Arctics - although personally I think it could well have been neither. Sweep
It's really quite depressing that them not being exclusive to Reading points towards the fact that Radiohead are the fallen through fourth headliner I swear this happens every year. I just want to see a classic Radiohead set on the Pyramid. Is that too much to ask?
Dunney77
I am only making a guess!...it just seems quite a good shout that they were to be at glastonbury (perhaps why reading deal originally fell through)...i think Glastonbury would happily have given them both large slots (Radiohead and Bruce). Even my mum thinks the legend slot is a joke this year...I seriously think the smallest crowd of the day potentially
ralph250
Most likely explaination is probably that they're doing their own UK shows later in the summer, and so not UK exclusive. "Guitarist Ed O'Brien told Newsbeat the Oxford band would be hitting the studio soon. "We are working on new material," he explained. "We'll be doing some more recording. It's business as usual. "We've sort of finished the bulk of [in Rainbows] touring," he added. "We will be doing a little bit of touring in the summer, watch this space!" http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/music/ne...000/7939214.stm Surprised they weren't announced as a festival exclusive tho in that case, From Earlier... ...ah but you've not said they haven't either ....whether I'm reading too much into it, but with this announcement on the day of the reading/leeds tickets going on sale and what you've mentioned in the past of them tightening the exclusivity clauses that would apply to their headliners; would perhaps give me the inclination towards radiohead or arctics.
