lack of rock bands

it just annoys me when i live right on the doorstep of the festival, knowing i'd probs have a good time, but cant find it in me to spend 180 quid on something i dont agree on

I totally agree.

But at the same time, Reading still seems to be pull enough bands outside of the over-hyped NME trendy stuff to make the ticket price worth it. How long that'll last I'm not sure though, but at the same time, I can't see festivals being cool and trendy forever...
