inspectedinspector
Think Eavis has said that he's already started making enquirys for next year as it's the 40th year for the festival so there trying to get huge bands playing small stages. So those bands you listed may play, but maybe not headlining the pyramid. As for Reading, it's getting to the point where I'm going to need some good bands to make the ever rising ticket price worth it against my ever draining bank account. Blur I'm seeing this summer, Green Day don't seem the same as they did when I was 16... basically it's AC/DC or nothing for me
VCK
OK, my predictions for next year's fests: Isle Of Wight Faithless Oasis Guns N Roses Download Placebo Rammstein AC/DC Glastonbury Muse Metallica Radiohead T In The Park Morrissey Muse Green Day Sonisphere Pearl Jam Iron Maiden V Arctic Monkeys Coldplay Reading/Leeds Blink 182 Blur Green Day Edited April 15, 2009 by VCK
luckysalt
My two cents Blur definatly won't be at Reading and Leeds, they'll do what they're doing this year and I think that will be it Foo Fighters I doubt will be back at fests again next year Download/Reading/Sonsisphere/V will then battle it out for the following [Obviously some won't apply for certian fests, and maybe not all headline material these days ie The Strokes] My Chemical Romance Muse Green Day Blink 182 White Stripes The Strokes Smashing Pumpkins Kasabian i'll come back to this.... luckysalt
At VCK Placebo headline download, no chance, nowhere near big enough, they've never headlined a UK festival ever, Download wouldn't risk it anymore, they got too much hassle over 2008, they said they wouldn't risk headliners anymore I like your other picks but Glasto next year is 40 year anniversary, they have said it will be acts from the past so i doubt they'll choose Metallica or Muse, Radiohead are locked in id say though, and two more classic headliners, Metallica just seem too heavy
gr_1988
foos won't be back next year. give them 2 or even 3 more years to be touring again. i think.

j...rox
Kasabian will headline now. Their glasto set was incredible and without a doubt got a huge crowd. So Muse, Kasabian and Green Day for me now. Unless Muse do Glasto when we might get AC/DC.

wreggie
I'm sure Muse wud play glatonbury again before coming back to leeds again I think Strokes is a good bet along with Blink, Blur if theyre still touring. Eminem (y) pehaps Sean Kingston? (Im expecting a huge rise to fame for him haha) Kasabian second headliners deffinetly

Lithium05
I don't think R/L will get Blink 182. I don't think they would offer them a headlining slot, but I think Download would. So I reckon they'll do that, and MCR will play second to Green Day if they play R/L Download Blink 182 Pearl Jam Bon Jovi (I'm trying to get this rumour up and running ) R/L The Strokes Libertines Green Day Though I fear that next year may see the nightmare headliner of Oasis popping up instead of one of those, maybe even Green Day
robsadler
im not sure oasis will be doing any festivals next year, not so sure they will have an album out. i also think glasto will get a proper legend as it is the 40th anniversary so either bowie or mccartney. i think a lot will depend on reunions......if libertines reform they will be the biggest draw of the summer and likewise stone roses (although this is less likely?). not up to date with news on the strokes but it would be good if they brought a new album out and toured. robx
