Alternatives to Gas Canisters

many people are going to want to cook their bacon and eggs or get some hot water for a pot noodle..but its not exactly easy to do it over a fire!

Iv heard on these forums there are alternatives, please feel free to share and add links where possible -

Well apparently we should use disposable bbq's. Cant see cooking eggs on that very easy! Or to be honest boiling water?!

what about those mini gas cookers? surly if you hide it at the bottom of your bag and use it on the downlow no-one will notice? wow. its like i'm talking about drugs now heh heh xxx

I'm pretty sure they wont search everyone and even if they do I cant imagine them making you empty out your bag. Loads of things aren't allowed but they still get in!

nothing wrong with taking gas cannisters as long as you don't feel the need to blow them up.

The solif fuel ones are fine, especially if you bring a container with holes drilled in to put it in as a wind break (a metal one of course!) and are smaller than a gas stove too.

Just read that you cant take aerosols over 100ml, a typical can of Lynx is 150ml. So they can forget if if they think im not taking anti-perspirant. Its a must. And im not forking out on those rip off mini cans that last a day each.

Disposable BBQ's are fine. Also Hexi Burners are ok. They are doing the same thing as Download are doing this year.
