Dear Mr Charles Watson

Payment Reference: cpwebwater1228134

Amount: £25

Thank you so much for your donation. Your gift to WaterAid means we can do great things. It will help some of the millions of people who live without access to safe drinking water or adequate sanitation.

Ada lives in Mbalawala Village in the Dodoma district of Tanzania. She says:

"Life is so much better now that we have this wonderful clean water supply. Before the tapstand, I would get up at 6am and search for water until around midday. If I had managed to get some water by then the hunt for firewood would then have to start. By the time I'd finished it would be too late for lunch as everything had taken so long and there was no time for cooking. Myself and my children only used to have one meal a day back then. We would be so hungry all day. Now I can wash our clothes and have a clean home and we all get three meals a day. It only takes me 15 minutes to get water from the tapstand and my three children are all able to go to school. Can you imagine what a difference it makes to my life - It really is amazing."

Through the help of supporters such as you we will work with local organisations - our partners - to provide more villages like Ada's with access to safe clean water and sanitation. Last year alone our partners helped one million people gain access to water and one and a half million to sanitation. With your support we can help even more people.

Done! I got Ada's story too - I wondered if we'd all get different ones!

Brilliant idea doing this, a real feel good thing. And some kind of karma going on I think, because at 4pm I got a result we've been battling for months for at work (a puffin crossing - yay!)

Gave my fiver! Well done everyone, this was such an amazing idea. What did people put down for 'What prompted you to donate today'? I put celebration, celebrating the lack of moaning!

:P:):D

I just done a quick tally adding up pledges after the post stating it was up to £130 and came out with £345 pledged by efesters, more than happy to be corrected but what an awesome effort.

ouch! Me and my big mouth. :P ...... never mind, it will be paid. :D

Thanks to everyone else who decided to get doubly positive today by posting only good things and making donations to WaterAid - from what Michael Eavis told me at the weekend, they're in desperate need of it right now (he's just advanced them some money due to them from this year's fest), as the weakening pound has hit their programmes very hard, as each pound now doesn't go as far.

For some reason I haven't receieved my confirmation email. Anyone else? I'm going to leave it for a few days to see if it comes out of my account and then if it doesn't I will ring and pledge it over the phone.

I'm so impressed with the amount that we managed to raise, it is amazing!
