Radiohead Set-list

This is probably aimed more for people who haven't seen Radiohead and want to know what they can expect to hear...I saw them at Victoria Park last June (Second show of the two they played there) and below is the set-list, from what I have seen they played some different songs the previous night (Airbag, Planet Telex..) and obviously with it being a festival they might change the below somewhat and make it more festival friendly orientated (ala V 2006 when they played stuff like Creep etc..) but from what I have heard it sounds like these will be the final (UK) shows for 'In Rainbows' touring so I would expect most if not all of that album to be played..they also played for 2hrs at Victoria Park but they came on when it was still light (8.30-10.30pm) hence why they are excited to be playing the whole show in the dark so to speak so that the light show/visuals can be seen as they should

Obviously I'm not saying they will play all of the below - just to give people more an idea of what to possibly expect before everyone starts having a go at me...lol

There were rumours going round that the only reason they played Creep both times at V was because that was in the contract. That's obviously just speculation (there's no way band or festival would ever admit to it), but I find it laughable that they'd play a song they're notorious for never doing twice in three days without being nudged into it.

Creep is a very good straight up rock song and for many Radiohead fans the song that first got them into the band. It's far from my favourite song by them but it irks a little that I've seen them six times now and they've never played it. In terms of songwriting it isn't that special, but Thom's voice and Jonny's guitar crunches lift it up to a higher level, plus it has enormous nostalgia value. They definitely shouldn't play it at every gig or anything but this would be a perfect time to bring it out.

I can't give too much credibility to that V contract story either...it's appeared on a lot of their Latin American sets recently, they give it an airing when they feel like it...they did have a prolonged period when they didn't play it as they didn't want it to be an albatross round their neck (see the lyrics to My Iron Lung). But obviously these days they're famous for so much more so there isn't this issue.

I'm 50/50 about Radiohead. I am a big fan of The Bends & OK Computer but since then, IMO, they have seem to have lost the art of writing great songs with melodies and have become too self indulgent and over experimental.

When the band are enjoying it more that the crowd it is a bad thing - and Radiohead are a band that fit into that category for me.

If they did a set that included High & Dry, Just, Karma Police, No Surprises, My Iron Lung, Street Spirit, The Bends, Fake Plastic Trees, Bullet Proof, Black Star etc. I'd be well up for seeing them.....but if they're going to be playing KID A onwards then I'm hoping for a decent clash!
