Tugger2k
from the nme... Kasabian to play National Anthem for England Team Tonight WOOOORGH! UUUAAAGH! OOG! OOG! OOG! IT'S FOOTBALL TIME IN THE UK! And apparently, Like Loaded Never Happened Rockers, Kasabian, will be playing the national anthem for the England team tonight. Apparently, a group of senior players approached the Leicester band to sing the pre-match anthem to help rev them up. A spokesperson for Kasabian told NME.COM: "The band are all footie mad, so were more than happy to 'play' Wembley, especially as it means they'll beat Oasis to the stadium. Even Serge (Pizzorno), who supports Italy normally, is buzzing that the England players asked them to perform." They'll be mixing a "techno-fused" version of 'God Save The Queen' which will be merged with their single 'Vlad The Impaler.'

pie_and_a_pint
It's not as daft as the Guardian's (admittedly quite funny) claim that from today the paper will only be available via Twitter, or the BBC's story about the tartan sheep... Chocscoffer
I thought the same about the whole Alan Shearer story because I haven't heard a snippet of that being a possibility. However, Sky Sports apparently ran the story last night. Anyone remember GMTV a few years back running a story about minus calorie water. You could get this system installed in your house that would mean by drinking the tap water (via this system) you would lose weight because it would actually physically burn fat! They even had an interview with a family that had apparently had it installed and lost loads of weight
CrunchyFrog
What about the ones which seem so much like April Fools but aren't... Like Miss Universe who said that Gantanamo Bay is a "relaxing place, so calm and beautiful", after a "morale boosting" trip there. Or Jordan running the London Marathon!
