Wooderson
celebrated by the general public, yes!! but what do they know?
somecoolusername
Exactly. The point is that Damon Albarn leaves these halfwits in his wake. He has the most precious melodic and innovative musical gift in England and he is not appreciated for it.
The Nal
And I'm not actually that much of a fan of Morrissey either.
sifi
I'd take Ice Cube over any of them.

darrenbha
You were at the Mile End show?? Legend! The only decent Blur trivia I have is that I was at the Dublin gig in 1996 when they played "Song 2" for the first time. It is named song two cause it was the second new song they'd played that day (after Chinese Bombs). It sounded animal!
sifi
God Damn. Another fkucing payback with a twist. The muthafkucers shot but the punks missed.
Roger Explosion
I love you for bringing this to my attention Just got tickets for the Nottingham gig - might even take my parents, they love him as well
arteet
Roger - the thought had crossed my mind. However, I am sure Blur have more imagination than to do some warm up shows billed as Coxon gigs. Also Graham has an album out in early May so these little gigs seem a great opportunity so play the new stuff. I reckon the gigs will see the new album played pretty much in its entirety with the odd few chilled out songs from his earlier material. That's my hunch.
Roger Explosion
They mentioned they were gonna do it under Seymour, but they mentioned it so it wouldn't be so secret would it... All i know is ill be mighty pissed off if it does happen and i haven't got tickets...
budvar
I remembering seeing them at the Astoria (RIP) on the Think Tank tour. The highlights for me were Topman (I seem to remember Damon saying something along the lines of "we've recently realised what a good song this is" and This is a Low. If I were having a bet I'd expect both of these to feature with This Is A Low to close, about perfect for the last song on the Sunday I feel. Seems like it's going to be a greatest hits set, which I don't think will get any complaints. Blur will do Parklife and Country House like Radiohead do Creep. They'll be fun but it'll be other songs that you remember.

somecoolusername
I want Essex Dogs like at Glasto '98. *sigh* unlikely, but we can dream. The Glasto '98 setlist was pretty incredible generally, a bit of jiggling around could be done 'cos they ended with Song 2 and I'm not too down with that idea as I actually don't really like the song. So just that plus a few from 13/Think Tank and I'd be Not that I won't be regardless.
somecoolusername
Graham mentions what they're gonna play at Glastonbury in this interview; doesn't say a lot and it's not much we didn't know - greatest hits plus a couple of b-sides. But the interview's here if anyone wants to watch it:
Homer
I'm intrigued by this and the idea of Graham supporting and Blur headlining. I'm not totally convinced I've plumped for the right date, but I've just got a couple of tickets for the gig in Bristol (my hometown) anyway... mario man
anyone have any luck with tickets for the warm-up gigs? i got an email at 9:17 this morning telling me tickets were on sale at 9:00! never gonna happen
somecoolusername
My email came at 9.21 and I got a Goldsmiths ticket. Tried for two but it wouldn't let me through so it looks like I'm going on my lonesome. Although I'm a Londoner, the Colchester gig may actually be better for me dates-wise, but there's no way I can miss this! OMG!
