ro66o2k
hi all, this will be my 6th glasto and ive found over the last 3 times ive been, the line up is getting worse and worse and with emily saying it was going to be a momentous glastonbury this year i didnt expect to see a load of has beens headlining the main stage. what happened to muse, the killers, oasis even paul mc cartney was worthy but bruce springsteen and Neil Young? i know they say its not all about the music and agree but alot of it is the music. i think next year my money would be better spent at the likes of v-festival, leeds, reading. im not just having a moan and im sure i cant be the only one that thinks that for the £175 per ticket they should be doing better for the fans. please tell me that its not just me that feels this way and maybe post ya dream line up. PCP
At the risk of being facetious - why are you even going to Glasto? Why buy the ticket? Edited April 2, 2009 by PCP

Wm.!
A very warm welcome to the forum. But, you might wanna have checked whether there was a topic on this subject. There are quite some I can tell you. I think you'll find loads of other namechasers who will join you to the other festivals. Maybe y'all could arrange a meet-up. airds
Its not just you - but you arent allowed to say otherwise without being flamed! Glasto is all about the experience not the headliners (apparently)
Un Adepte Des Raconteurs
Sorry to be harsh, but in the opinion of many Neil Young shits all over the Killers, Oasis and Muse. Why should Glasto cater for tasteless twats like you every year? Give us people who don't just like the NME / Radio 1 bands our turn. I'm sure you'll get at least one generic headliner next year, don't worry.
hoils
muse, the killers, oasis

darrenbha
Each to their own. I'd just say that 3 confirmed acts don't make the line up. But based on ticket sales. Springsteen 2 emirates gigs in last couple of years plus hyde park sold out pretty quick. Blur. 2 hyde park gigs week after Glasto nearly sold out
ThomThomDrum
*yawn* Please for the love of God!!! Will some one please think of the children!!!! darrenbha
So, you could have chosen, off the top of my head: Dolly, Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder, Orbital, Aretha, Faithless, Diana Ross, Dre, Take That, The KLF, Madonna, Simon & Garfunkel, The Prodigy who all could feasibly headline (ok, maybe I'm pushing it with the KLF but a boy can dream) but you chose Muse, The Killers and Oasis. It's V for you my son! Enjoy the after-hours entertainment they put on...

ro66o2k
If you dont like it, dont go, it really is that simple why would anyone PAY £175 to go somewhere there dont like ???? There are plenty of other festivals, or if you cant find your "perfect" one.....start your own
stuartbert two hats
Stop replying. Seriously. Engaging in the debate is just bringing the forum down. This is the first time I've commented on one of these lineup thread, but I've made an exception here, as this is so obviously a troll post. Stop replying to negative threads. Pretend it's water aid day!

hombrederayo
This forum was exactly the same last year, the line up is shit, yadda yadda.... seriously if someone who says that they have been to 6 glastonburys can seriously slate the "line up" (i put it in "" simply because we do not know the line up, all we know is the headliners, and franz ferdinand and fleet foxes plus a couple of others for definite) NOW. How about you wait till the full line up is announced end of may/start of june, and then come on here slagging it off. And that goes for anyone else coming on here in april doing the same. Idiots the lot of you. V/Reading are all about the headliners and the big bands of the day, but that is not what glasto is about. glasto is something different to everyone, but to me its the variety of music on offer. Yes, I am a bit disapointed with the headliners but not really as I know thats one less clash to worry about as last year as with every year ive been I have to decide between 2-3 bands I want to see that are on at the same time, whereas at Reading last year I was sat around in between as there was nothing much I wanted to see at times.
