I'm in two minds.

On the one hand, they've stated very clearly that they're not playing any UK fests this year other than Great Escape.

On the other hand, Great Escape is run by the guy who books the Other and JP stages (and till this year booked the Pyramid too, tho that's now done by Emily and her fella), and many of the bands that play there seem to end up on the bill at Glasto too.

So I don't know. Does anyone have any real info, or is it just the case that people are hoping?

kasabian should have headlined in 07. i really hope they are on so i can see them again. Loving the new tune as well and can't wait for the album.

i hope they do play i bought oasis tickets just to see them and the enemy i wasn't keen on them till a saw them at glasto 07 when they ruled the stage in my opinion and blew artics out of the water

The when is of relevance, due to info I know of that was true on a particular date.

I can only tell you what I heard, and only yesterday they said they were playing a major uk fest. It's probably on iPlayer from during Lamacq's show. Bands come out with that kind of bollocks all the time anyway, money and publicity always talk. Bloc party told reading and leeds they wouldnt see them for a while during last years performance!

The gap in the schedule is very telling I think.

just had my first listen sounds like it could be a progigy song in parts hope the new album is just as good would love to see them at glastonbury im booking tickets to see them at the end of june at sheffield and im seen them with oasis at the start of june not sure if 3 times in one month will be too much

I just did a bunch of switching around in my travel plans to make sure I can get to their show in Sheffield the Monday after Glasto...so at this point I'd rather they didn't play so I don't feel bad about losing my mother $100 in hotel fees. Whatever, wouldn't mind seeing them twice I suppose.
