joshwarrr
Who was the 4th headliner going to be?
paddyconnally
For me this is just another nail in the coffin of this year's line-up. Edited April 20, 2009 by paddyconnally

m_bantam
so bands with a min 20+ years and tens of albums are 'nails' and bands just about to release their 3rd album are also... 'nails'? hmm, a mild contradiction. oh yes, this smacks of the organisers incompetence. not at all that your favourite 3 bands aren't top of the bill. no, not at all that your just miffed that YOUR personal preference hasn't been fulfilled. the organisers are truly abysmal. for the record i can't stand kasabian, but i'm not ignorant enough to admit that it's not a semi-strong name. Kowalski
Hopefully there's something a little more original on another stage.
glastofever
They will be amazing. They were better than arctic monkeys in 07 and were better than razorlight in 05 on the other. Its going to be legendary

12T
Good to see to someone who speaks some sense! Personally I love them and can't wait! I think as they did a couple of years ago, they'll put on a near as good (if not better) performance than the actual headliner!
Tugger2k
I have seen them many times. Most recently at the Royal Albert Hall gig which was In my, albeit humbly humble, opinon, the best gig they have ever played and quite possibly one of the best gigs I have ever been to. They will blow all else out of the water (hope there isn't much of this about as it's going to be a scorcher!) ......Now all we need is Radiohead to confirm
bombfrog
Surely whether a band is 'headline' or 'support act' status depends on who else might be headlining, and what size the venue/gig is..?
sdaveak47
if you think them headline material I guess that you'd accept just about any band as headline material. To date, they're defo short of being headline material. /quote] If they were put on as other stage headliners on friday night they would get a bigger crowd than Neil Young (dont get me wrong i prefer Neil Young to Kasabian). And if they dont end up with one of the biggest crowds of the weekend i'll be very suprised. Annoyingly i've just forked out 35 notes to an ebay tout for their brighton gig as i wanted to see what all the fuss was about and now it seems like i needn't have bothered ! thegremlin_1999
glad to see i'm not the only one with a deep and rational hatred of this band I'm from leicester and i'm fed up of people going on at me about supporting my big local band.. news for those people... there are good bands in leicester kasabian aint one of em... (obviously this is just my opinion, and no doubt someone will slag me off for it like every other time i say i dislike kasabian but i'm sticking by it. they're shit and they always were and always will be)

Chazeboy
That's exactly why Glasto aren't allowed to release line-up early, eh? Now as an eclectic happy-with-everything type, can people tell me - will the inclusion of Kasabian make the "line-ups better at V/R&L" whingers happy? Will board 22 now be full of love and joy? Or should we just expect a whole host of complaint threads?

eFestivals
Surely whether a band is 'headline' or 'support act' status depends on who else might be headlining, and what size the venue/gig is..? are Kasabian of the same sort of level as Young, Bruce or Blur? Nope. Was the band they had lined up as the 4th headliner of the same sort of level as Young, Bruce or Blur? Yes. Nuff said.

I'm not sure about that - this is Glastonbury, not (for example) Reading or V. And if they dont end up with one of the biggest crowds of the weekend i'll be very suprised. that's quite possible - they're a popular act, and can be very good live. Then again, Rolf Harris had had the biggest crowd of the weekend. So does it really say very much having the biggest crowd?
