This year's "off the radar" oldie?

We tend to get a well known older band that were a bigger name "in their day" playing one of the tents; Echo and the Bunnymen spring to mind a couple of years ago - can't really think who else played past line-ups, but know there's usually someone on the line-up along those lines.

Would love to see someone like The Buzzcocks headlining the FR tent one night.

We've had The Fall and MC5 a little way down the Radio 1 stage in the last few years so it's always possible they could take a slot similar to that.

Wouldn't mind Dinosaur Jnr returning; would much prefer Sonic Youth to take a top 4 slot in the NME/Radio 1 Tent.

Saw them at Brudenell late last year, Doug Martsch is truely an unsung guitar hero.

Failing that i'd take, Les Savy Fav or Jonathan Richman.

I know this is not going to happen though.

Been thinking (dangerous, i know) but i could see Yo La Tengo or even using the Condo f**ks pseudonym do a set in a similar position to Dinosaur Jr did a couple of years ago, it would be great to see them again, they also have Facef**k coming out this year

I remember they said when they got announced for Glasto they expect to be playing more than 1 UK festival and im pretty sure thats the only one theyre playing so far.. so you never know.

Not exactly off the radar (unless you arent on the internet as much as most of us) but seeing as they formed in 1984 I'd say the offspring qualify for the "oldie" billing!
