Lack of big bands on the Sunday?

As a sunday day ticket holder I can't help but feel a little short changed with the undercard.

Friday has Kaiser Chiefs (capable of playing arenas), Placebo (apollos, bigger academies), Fall Out Boy (capable of arenas) and Deftones (bigger academies, apollos)

Saturday has The Prodigy (arenas), Maximo Park (apollos, bigger academies), Ian Brown (bigger academies, apollos)

Sunday has Bloc Party (bigger academies, apollos), Yeah Yeah Yeahs (bigger academies, apollos), Vampire Weekend (academies) and Brand New (academies)

I can't help but feel I've drawn the short straw here. :(

I have a damn good reason for liking Bowling For Soup!

Download 2005 - During Bowling for Soup's mainstage set an inflatable sheep that had been tossed around the crowd all day made it's way onto the stage, the band proceeded to attempt violate the sheep with a banana (not being deterred by the fact that it wasnt a "welsh love sheep" and didnt have any holes... the band however manage to force the banana into the sheep regardless

Download 2007 - Bowling for Soup return to the mainstage (below slayer btw and were not bottled despite not being "metulzzz") with 2 giant inflatable sheep as stage props and giant inflatable bananas on the stage.

I'm all for bands not taking themselves too seriously, but for a band to go to that length to share a joke with the audience is superb. They even had t-shirts with a sheep and banana on it! It's nice when a band remembers a show as well as the crowd does.

Better than say Simple Plan at Download last year who didn't even know where they were "Hello Birmingham"

I'm actually gonna back up Lithium on this one. I can't stand Fall Out Boy but they are surely a bigger band than Vampire Weekend. I know Vampire Weekend's stock has risen over the last few months but not nearly to the level of 4th headliner?

methinks some bands will slot in above VW.

anyway, people have different taste in music and people need to accept that rather than being patronising about it.

First of all, re-read my post with the implication that I'm expressing a dislike of VW no a love of FOB

Second of all I'm so over my brief flirtation with Nickelback fandom

Thirdly, I wasnt a fan of Lostprophets, but thwey won me over with a superb performance at Download last year

and finally, what's your beef with InMe? They're not hurting anyone! No radio play, few festival appearances, and when they do appear it's never in a position above their station!
